IV. 봉사 – 예수 그리스도안에 있는 하나님의 의가 교회와 그 지체인 그리스도인의 삶에서 드러 나다 (12:1-16:2)

1. 토대가 되며, 실천적인 몇 가지 중계적 말씀들 (12:1-2)

가. 로마서 12장의 첫 두개의 절들에서 우리는 사도바울이 쓴 로마서의 이론적 전개가 끝나고, 마지막 실천부분으로 들어 가는 전환점을 보게 된다.

나. 로마서가 강권하는 실천하는 그리스도인의 삶에 대한 서론격이 되겠다. 이 또한 모든 그리스도인들의 삶에 대한 토대가 되기도 한다. 주 예수님께서 재림하실 때까지 이는 그리 계속 인정될 것이다.

다. 그리스도인의 삶은 그리스도 예수님과 연합한, 즉 죽음과 부활을 경험하는 삶이다.

라. 하나님의 은혜로만이 그리스도인들은 삶의 동인을 가지며 , 또한 그 삶이 유지되고, 그에 따른 열매를 맺을 수 있게 된다. 이러한 삶이야말로, 우리들의 “살아 있는 희생제사물”이란 삶이다.

마. 하나님만을 기쁘시게 하는 그리스도인의 삶은 그 자체가 언제나 예배하는 행위이기도 하다.

바. 그리스도인들은 그 삶이 그의 생각, 의지, 그리고 행동순으로 변화하는 끊임없는 변화의 삶이기도 하다. 예수님을 닮아 가는 끊임없는 변화없이, 참된 그리스도인의 삶이란 존재하지 않는다.

주요 공부과제: 나의 죄에서 나를 건지신 하나님께 우리의 감사를 나타낼 때 어디서 부터 변화가 마땅히 있어야만 할까?

IV. Service – The Righteousness of God in Jesus Christ manifested in the Life of Church and Its Members (12:1-16:2)

1. A Transitional yet Foundational and Practical Words (12:1-2)

a. First two verses in Chapter 12 are a transitional piece in the last part of the apostle Paul’s Letter to the Romans.

b. This part is an introduction to the practical Christian life called for in this letter, and the foundational principle for the daily Christian life throughout the all generations up to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus.

c. The Christian life is a life of death and resurrection in the union with Jesus.

d. Only the grace of God can motivate, sustain and bear spiritual fruits in the Christian’s life. That is all about the “living sacrifice” in our life.

e. The Christians life is a worshipful life that must please Him alone.

f. The Christian life is to manifest our gratitude to God in Jesus in terms of life of voluntary service to the glory of God.

g. The Christian life is that of a change starting from the mind, the will and the action. Without a constant change in life to be after Jesus, the Christian life is not a true Christian life at all.

Study Question: In the grace of God where we are to be changed first of all to serve Him forever to show our gratitude?
